A CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) mask is a device used in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. It provides a constant flow of air through a hose connected to a CPAP machine, keeping the airway open during sleep. The mask ensures that the air pressure is delivered effectively to prevent airway collapse and improve breathing.

Types of CPAP Masks:

  • Nasal Mask: Covers the nose and is suitable for those who breathe through their nose.

  • Nasal Pillow Mask: Consists of small cushions that rest at the nostrils, ideal for those who feel claustrophobic with larger masks.

  • Full-Face Mask: Covers both the nose and mouth, used by individuals who breathe through their mouth or have difficulty using other mask types.

  • Hybrid Mask: Combines elements of nasal and full-face masks, often designed for a more comfortable fit.
